Welcome to a New Semester with the Investment Program

Greetings, UNO students and guests!

On behalf of the Fall 2011 Officers, I would like to welcome everyone to a new semester with the Maverick Investment Program. We hope to continue the legacy of excellence displayed by the program's members as we head into a new year and semester.

A Few Notes:
  • The first meeting of the semester is Monday, January 23rd at 5:00pm in the Mammel Hall Auditorium

  • Finance 4610 students wanting to run for a senior officer position should come prepared to speak in front of the program as to why they should be elected

  • Finance 3400 students should also be prepared to speak should they wish to run for a junior position

A Message from Daniel Klosowski Regarding the Last Meeting

Hello everyone,

This is just a friendly reminder about the next meeting of the program, which will be held next Monday, December 5th at 5:00pm in the Mammel Hall auditorium.

The Biannual Buy/Sell meetings are the essence of Maverick Investment Program. Since we trade equities just twice a year, each May and December, it's important for us to hear your voice. We count on some constructive discussions, so please come in prepared and develop your arguments before the meeting. From experience, I know those meetings take little longer than regular two hours. As always, we will have some refreshments for you.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or any other officer.

To all FNBK 4610 (Portfolio Management) students,

Please keep in mind you are required to provide two recommendations:

  • whether to keep or sell stock you have been assigned to follow

  • any new stock that would be a good addition to our portfolio
